- Internships
A unique, practical learning experience for students from any
accredited school or university program. Contact the museum for more info.

A helpful guide to locating and identifying primary and secondary
resources. More info coming soon.
- Games and Crafts
- The Wireless Discovery Network
A palmtop “Time Machine” gives students access to
digital displays and primary resources while visiting the museum. Now this feature is also available online via the online collections.
- Archives
25,000 artifacts from Whatcom County’s early residents, as
well as 24, 000 photographs, searchable by subject, ranging from
1860’s to present. Contact the museum for an appointment to
search the archives.
- Library
Books and other publications about the history of the Pacific
Northwest, many out-of-print. Contact the museum for an appointment to
use the library.
- Re-enactments
Events from local history brought to life right on our replica of turn
of the century Front Street.
- Past Alive!
Visiting speakers and living history character re-enactors. Contact the museum for more info.
- Volunteer Opportunities
Student involvement at LPM can include becoming a docent, a tour guide,
or working behind the scenes accessioning and building exhibits.
